Texas Oilfield Worker Killed After Fall At Well Site

A Hardin County oilfield worker was killed in a fall Tuesday near Saratoga.


William Elton Williams, 58, of Sour Lake, was killed after he fell from an 'elevated position' while working at a well site according a release from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office.William Elton Williams, 58, of Sour Lake, was killed after he fell from an 'elevated position' while working at a well site according a release from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office. 

Just before 10:30 a.m. the Sheriff's office and the Saratoga Fire Department responded to an industrial accident in an oilfield off Rosier Park Road in Saratoga the release said.

An investigation determined that Williams, who worked for Slatex Well Services in Saratoga, was killed after falling from an 'elevated position at a well site.

Hardin County Justice of the Peace Precinct #6 Jacqueline Werner pronounced Williams dead and ordered an autopsy the release said.
