NETHERLANDS-MAN DIES IN 60-METER FALL OFF OIL RIG SITE

A man was killed in a 60 meter fall at a shipyard in the Botlek, Rotterdam around 11:30 on Wednesday night.

According to the police, the victim is a 53 year old man from Brielle. He was working in a cage at the bottom of an oil rig in the shipyard on Professor Gerbrandyweg when the accident happened.

The Social Affairs Inspectorate, formerly the labor inspectorate, is investigating the cause of the accident.
